Just as proper nutrition and training are essential to reaching fitness and lifestyle goals, rest, recovery, and relaxation are important to maintaining those goals. Massage is a great addition to your rest days. Massage at the Y focuses on recovery and rehabilitation to prevent injury and to get back to reaching your goals when injuries do occur. Our massage program implements techniques to decrease muscle pain and improve range of motion and reflexibility. Massage therapists can also assist with performance goals. We offer both chair massage and table massage to accommodate any time frame and comfort level. These massages occur in private areas of our facility but we do ask that massage recipients adhere to the same dress code as in our pools (areas of the body covered by swimsuits must also be covered during massages.)
