Looking for a fantastic way for your child to experience the thrills of hockey in a fun and supportive environment? Look no further than the Lafayette Locomotive Recreational Hockey program!
Our rec program offers a perfect fit for players of all ages and skill levels, from Squirt (10U) through Midget (18U). Here, your child can develop their hockey skills, build lasting friendships, and cultivate a lifelong love for the game – all without the pressure of high-level competition.
Focus on Fun, Teamwork, and Enjoyment:
- Inclusive Environment: We welcome players of all abilities to join our program and celebrate the joy of the sport.
- Emphasis on Teamwork: Our coaches foster a strong sense of camaraderie, where players learn to support and encourage each other on and off the ice.
- Safe and Supportive Atmosphere: We prioritize a positive and respectful environment where everyone feels comfortable learning and growing as players.
Competitive Games, Local Travel:
Lafayette Locomotive teams compete in the Colorado Recreational Hockey League (CRHL). The CRHL provides a fantastic alternative to the more intense schedule of the RMHF league. Here's what you can expect:
In-State Travel: Games are played within Colorado, minimizing travel demands compared to out-of-state tournaments often associated with competitive leagues.
Reduced Commitment: The CRHL requires less time and financial commitment compared to RMHF, making it a great option for busy families.
Team Practices: All rec teams practice once per week, and all rec players have first dibs on the Locomotive morning Skills Sessions!
Tournaments: All rec teams will participate in at least 2 local tournaments (tournament fee is included in the registration fee), and league playoffs!
Stick and Puck: All Locomotive players (rec and competitive) get all YMCA NOCO Stick and Puck sessions for free!
