ANDY FINNEY MEMORIAL YOUTH HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

The Weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

During the Andy Finney Memorial Youth Hockey Tournament, we honor Andy Finney, During the Andy Finney Memorial Youth Hockey Tournament, we honor Andy Finney, a father, husband and hockey coach, player, official and devotee. You are invited to come watch 14U teams compete for the title! Attendance is free, but please consider making a donation to the FINNEYSTRONG Legacy Fund, which provides scholarships to young hockey players in need.

The FINNEYSTRONG Legacy Fund was founded in honor of Andy Finney, who passed away on December 31, 2020, after battling pancreatic cancer. Shortly after his passing, Gina Finney, Andy’s wife, and his three children made the decision to honor Andy’s legacy and love of hockey by giving back to the hockey community.

The FINNEYSTRONG Legacy Fund ensures that members of the hockey community have support during times of hardship, providing funds to help them fulfill their potential and live a life with grit. The fund’s efforts include providing college scholarships to deserving senior athletes and supporting families in-need with funding assistance for equipment or league fees.

With the help of the FINNEYSTRONG Legacy Fund, all players have the opportunity to live and play with the characteristics of grit — courage, resolve and strength of character.

Support the FINNEYSTRONG Legacy Fund by purchasing a FINNEYSTRONG sweatshirts and trucker hats during the tournament. All proceeds will benefit the fund. You may also donate at ymcanoco.org/give. Select “community support campaign” and include “memorial hockey tournament” in the comments.
